Mushindo is a Japanese word that means “no mind”. This means that we focus on what we are doing, we do let our thoughts or preoccupations interfere with our actions.

If you are fighting and you are thinking too much about your technique or what your opponent is going to do, you will be less effective. You need Mushin (No Mind). You can’t be thinking you must be acting. However, to do this you must train hard so that your body will act!

Mushindo also helps in our everyday lives. If you are at work, but think too much about your problems, you need Mushin. If you are with your family and you are thinking too much about your work, you need Mushindo.

If you are studying, but you are thinking about what you rather be doing, you need Mushin. Mushindo (The way of no mind) will become a way of life for you if you train hard.

About us

We are a traditional mixed martial arts school. We focus on the traditional fighting styles of karate, judo, boxing and submission wrestling.

The Class

Mushindo is a complete system of martial arts. It combines the three aspects of fighting: standup, takedown, and ground fighting. The roots of Mushindo come from the traditional arts of Kyokushin Karate, Judo, Western Boxing, and Submission Wrestling. However, Mushindo is not only about fighting; it is also an art. We practice Kata and work with traditional Japanese weapons to develop ourselves further. We do stress the importance of competition in Mushindo. This will give you the experience and confidence one needs to help them grow. Not only in martial arts, but in all aspects of life.
